Flood barriers and water control
Water is coming. I need it stopped in the next few hours.
Temporary barriers for flood defence, containment and dewatering — including the situations where a water-filled barrier cannot be used.
Most reusable flood barriers on the market are water-filled: you pump site water into a tube and the mass resists the flood. That is the cheapest answer for long runs along a river. It stops working at a shop doorway or a garage ramp where the flood has not arrived yet and there is no water to pump. Air-filled barriers deploy without a water source, which is the whole reason to pay more for them.
Typical use
- Shopfront and doorway defence during floods
- Underground garage and basement entrances
- Construction dewatering
- Oil spill containment
- Temporary cofferdams for water works
- Typhoon and storm preparation

For long continuous runs along a river or around a dewatering site with water available, water-filled barriers cost less per metre and are more stable because mass is free. Water pressure also rises with the square of height, so barrier height is a structural question — we will not quote a height without data behind it, and neither should anyone else.
