Fabric and contract manufacturing

I have my own factory. I want to buy material, or find a contract manufacturer.

Drop-stitch and coated fabric supply, plus OEM and ODM manufacturing for brands and integrators building their own products.

Resposta breve

Buying fabric and building in-house is cheaper than importing finished goods, and fabric ships far more efficiently than inflated products. Industry MOQ for drop-stitch sits around 50 m² with some mills negotiating lower, base cloth is commonly 1000D × 1000D polyester, and commercially available chamber depth runs roughly 5 to 30 cm.

Usos típicos

  • Inflatable product factories sourcing raw material
  • Outdoor brands specifying fabric for boards and mats
  • Defence integrators buying base material
  • Design studios prototyping
  • Brands seeking contract manufacture

Where you should buy elsewhere

The established drop-stitch mills — Zhejiang MSD and several others — have decades of production behind them and compete hard on commodity fabric. If you need standard material at the lowest price, they will beat us. Where a smaller supplier earns the order is non-standard specification, mixed small quantities, or contract manufacture where you need someone to build to your drawing rather than sell from a catalogue.

Perguntas frequentes

What is drop-stitch fabric?
Drop-stitch fabric is two layers of coated base cloth joined by tens of thousands of internal threads of equal length. Inflated, those threads hold the two faces parallel, turning the fabric into a rigid panel with defined thickness.
How is drop-stitch fabric made?
The two faces and the connecting threads are woven or knitted together on a specialised machine, then coated with PVC or TPU. The thread structure is created during weaving and cannot be added afterwards.
What thickness of drop-stitch fabric is available?
Commercially available chamber depth runs roughly five to thirty centimetres, covering paddleboards, boat decks, gym mats and most shelter walls. Anything outside that band should be confirmed with the mill before you design around it.
Is TPU better than PVC for drop-stitch?
TPU stays flexible in cold, ages better under UV and is lighter for the same strength; PVC costs less, welds faster and offers a wider colour range. For temperate seasonal use PVC is usually the right commercial answer.
