Drop-stitch reached the mass market through paddleboards and gymnastics mats long before it reached shelters. High-pressure inflation gives a board or mat the stiffness of a rigid panel while it still rolls up, which is why the category exists at all. Commercially this is distribution and retail rather than tender and specification, and it is worth being clear that it is a different business.

The customers, channels and tone are different from everything else on this site — distributors and marketplaces rather than tender documents, and marketing rather than technical specification. Amusement products such as bounce houses and obstacle courses use lighter fabric and a different manufacturing process entirely, and we are not the right supplier for those. Landing airbags and training equipment carry their own European safety standards.

- How long does an inflatable water park last?
- Commercial-grade units are built for seasons of daily public use, with life driven by UV exposure, anchoring wear and winter storage. Consumer-grade products in the same shape do not survive commercial operation.
- How thick should an air track be?
- Ten centimetres suits general tumbling and floor work; twenty centimetres and above suits higher-impact landings. Thickness and internal pressure together set the rebound, and both should match the skill level being trained.
- What pressure should an air track run at?
- Lower pressure gives a softer, slower surface for beginners; higher pressure gives faster rebound for advanced work. The usable range is set by the manufacturer and should not be exceeded.
- How thick should a sleeping pad be?
- Thickness affects comfort; insulation value affects warmth, and they are not the same thing. A thick uninsulated pad can still be cold because the air inside circulates.
- Do inflatable play structures need to meet a standard?
- Yes. In Europe EN 14960 governs inflatable play equipment, covering anchoring, wall heights and operator supervision. Compliance is a legal requirement for public operation, not an optional extra.
